Patriots have pre-draft visit with RB James White from Wisconsin
Today the New England Patriots are hosting Wisconsin running back James White for a pre-draft visit. White is a former Big Ten Conference Freshman of the Year who rushed for 1,052 yards and 14 touchdowns during his first season for the Badgers, White gained 1,444 yards last season while working in tandem with running back Melvin Gordon. Together, they combined for 3,052 rushing yards to set a single-season record.
White backed up Montee Ball in 2012 and rushed for 806 yards and 12 touchdowns. He had 119 rushing yards and four touchdowns and threw a three-yard touchdown pass in the Big Ten championship game against Nebraska.
White is considered a mid round draft prospect, but it seems like the Patriots could be looking to replace LaGarrette Blount who they lost in free agency to the Steelers.
