Lions have added another tight end to their roster
The Detroit Lions have officially signed tight end Jordan Thompson, who was a tryout player during last week’s voluntary mini-camp.
Thompson becomes the fifth tight end on the roster, joining Brandon Pettigrew, Joseph Fauria, Michael Williams and Matt Veldman. Detroit carried three active tight ends last year.
The 6-foot-3, 245-pounder went undrafted last year out of Ohio, where he had eight catches for 95 yards and one touchdown as a senior. He finished his career with the odd stat line of 60 catches, 666 yards and six touchdowns.\
