This week, NFL Media analyst Daniel Jeremiah reported that the St. louis Rams have “legitimate interest” in Johnny Manziel, and fellow analyst Charles Davis even has Manziel going to the Rams with the No. 13 pick in his latest mock draft. However, the team has also met with quarterbacks projected to go in the draft’s second or third day, and according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, it has scheduled a private workout with former Georgia QB Aaron Murray for next week.
Murray threw for 20 NFL teams last week at Georgia’s pro day, his first pre-draft workout after he suffered a torn ACL last November.
Aaron Murray is a very solid QB and one of the best SEC quarterbacks in the past 10 years. I love this kid, he would be a great 2nd or 3rd round option for the Rams.
