The Packers are expected to move on from B.J. Raji
Today NFL.com reported that the Green Bay Packers are expected to move on without B.J. Raji and Ryan Pickett on defense, leaving a massive hole on the interior of the defensive line.
On Saturday the team talked to DT Will Sutton for the second time (first time was at the Senior Bowl) and it sounds like they are in love.
“They told me, ‘If you come here, we’re going to keep the weight on you.’ ”
“The weight” is what dropped Sutton’s stock over the last 12 months. As a junior, he weighed 280 pounds, and recorded 23.5 tackles for loss (13.5 sacks).
He weighed in at the combine at 303 and says he wants to get to 295 by his pro day. If the Packers take him in the draft, he likely will be asked to bulk up again.
