Chicago Bears reunite DE Austen Lane with his former DC Mel Tucker
Today the Chicago Bears signed free agent defensive end Austen Lane reuniting him with his former defensive coordinator Mel Tucker. The Bears signed him to a one year deal today.
Lane played for the Jacksonville Jaguars from 2010-12, when Tucker was the defensive coordinator there. The Jaguars’ fifth-round pick in 2010 has three sacks in 30 career games.
He played in two games for the Detroit Lions last November, but the Lions released him, making him available before the unrestricted free agency period begins March 11.
