Titans tight end Delanie Walker calls out his teammates saying they were cancer in locker room
Delanie Walker thinks the team is in need of some. During an interview with 104.5 The Zone, Walker said he felt there were a group of six or seven players on the 2013 team that dragged the rest of the group down because their effort and attitude became a “cancer” on the team.
“Most definitely. When we started losing more games, you got to see it more and more,” Walker said. “It was falling apart and the players that were the cancer were dragging other players into that box with them and the box was getting bigger and bigger.”
Walker said he thought those players were the biggest reason why Munchak, who he spoke to about his feelings, was fired. While he wouldn’t name them, the tight end also said he thought it would be obvious to Whisenhunt and the other coaches which players were lacking when they watched film and that he feels Whisenhunt is the type of coach that will want to get them off the roster.
That is a serious motion, and to be honest it will be interesting if guys like Chris Johnson could be dealt? Teams need star players, and tend to pay a pretty penny for them.
