Five non quarterbacks that are destined for a major pay day

We already know that quarterbacks get paid the most money of anyone, but I thought of five players who are going to get paper when their contracts are up.  I hope you enjoy this list, because these guys are the future of the NFL.

Richard Sherman – Seattle Seahawks – CB – Sherman becomes a free agent in 2015, and let’s all be honest the guy has become the best cornerback in the game. He is a household name, and the guys will be playing next year in a contract year.  The very competitive and mouthy corner will get a monster pay day, as he should.  He deserves to be the highest paid corner in the game, his play has proved that.

Josh Gordon – Cleveland Browns – WR – When Gordon is on the field the guy is hard to stop.  No matter the team or cornerback Gordon has displayed big time play making ability. Gordon will need to stay out of trouble, but the NFL’s leading receiver is on the verge of getting some paper.  He will become a free agent in 2016, but I would expect the Browns to start working on a deal sooner rather than later.

Alshon Jeffery – Chicago Bears – WR – The Bears have something very special in Alshon.  This kid can make all the plays on the field. He uses his body well and blew up this year opposite of Brandon Marshall.  Jeffery is not a free agent until 2016 as well, but expect a major blessing of funds for the South Carolina Gamecock Alum.

Vontaze Burfict – Cincinnati Bengals – LB – As an undrafted free agent, Burfict is making peanuts right now for pay. Tez will become a restricted free agent in 2015, but expect the Bengals leading tackler to get an extension.  He led all defensive players this year with 171 tackles, and earned his first trip to Hawaii. Burfict is playing at a high level right now and always seems to be around the ball.

Alfred Morris – Washington Redskins – RB – Alfred has been a work horse for the Redskins, and his duty will pick up with Jay Gruden at the helm.  Expect Morris to be utilized quite a bit next year.  Morris has been an amazing draft pick and has now ran for 1000 yards both years in the league.  Morris will be a free agent in 2016, but expect him to get a nice check as well.
