Detroit Lions signed former Central Michigan standout Darren Keyton
The Detroit Lions announced Monday they have signed rookie free agent offensive lineman Darren Keyton. Keyton is 6-foot-3 and 305 pounds and played at Central Michigan.
Keyton wasn’t a part of the Lions’ original group of undrafted free agent signings earlier in the year but he was with the team. He had to earn his contract after impressing the coaches as a tryout at the team’s rookie minicamp. Well the team was so impressed they re-signed him to a future contract today.
Keyton is an underrated blocking prospect with the ability to line up at any of the three interior offensive line positions. He lacks great upside, yet his intensity and wherewithal on the field give him an upper hand.
