Dallas Cowboys will not let a disgruntled Bill Callahan go; because he is a potential interim HC?
I cannot blame Bill Callahan for being upset, but he has been horrible as the offensive play caller. Well today things, got a little bit stranger.
The Cowboys are denying Bill Callahan, who was demoted from playcaller to offensive line coach in favor of Scott Linehan, the opportunity to work for somebody else.
Callahan isn’t happy with the demotion and is thinking about his future, which is tied to just one year remaining on his contract. The Cleveland Browns would like to speak with Callahan and possibly hire him as their offensive coordinator/playcaller.
The reason the team will not let him go, is because they feel he could be the interim head coach of Jason Garrett if something happens mid season. I don’t get this thought, but it should be interesting to see how Jerry Jones handles this situation. Obviously, this will not turn out well.
