Bills relieved wide receivers coach of his duties, but not the Special Teams Coordinator?
Head coach Doug Marrone after a year at the helm for the Bills has already made a change to his coaching staff. He announced that receivers coach Ike Hilliard has been relieved of his duties.
“Again the evaluation starts with me,” Marrone said in the team’s season-ending press conference. “We’ve already made one change. Ike Hilliard is no longer with us. We appreciate what Ike has done in helping us try to reach our goal this year and we fell short.”
While I don’t understand the move, I would be happy to leave Buffalo. First off, they cut Da’Rick Rogers who they gave a huge signing bonus too, and Brandon Kaufman to replace them with Chris Hogan and Marcus Easley.
We started TJ Graham over Marquise Goodwin, and I am sure that was not Ike Hilliard’s spot. The offensive coordinator is over the play calling, so in this case I think more than just Ike should be fired.
You cannot blame the coaches for crappy players, you need to blame the person in charge. Buffalo relieved Ike Hilliard but Doug Marrone somehow kept his friends Nate Hackett and Danny Crossman. Well men, I hope you get your head’s out of your rear, because if we want to win next year, we are going to need special teams.
