Why did the Dolphins spend 60 million for Mike Wallace when they had Rishard Matthews?
Dolphins GM Jeff Ireland said he had high hopes for WR Rishard Matthews in 2013. Matthews, a 2012 seventh-round pick out of Nevada, who played in eight games as a rookie, starting the season finale.
Matthews showed “route-running chops” and “deceptive vertical speed.”
Well tonight he has been the guy that shined, not the man they spent boo-koo money for. Tonight Matthews has 11 receptions and 2 touchdowns, which is the only Dolphin in history to register both stats together.
@SportsCenter: America, say hello to Rishard Matthews. Prior to #MNF, 0 career TD. Tonight, he has 2 scores, on 11 Rec, 120 Yds.
So here is my question, why did they sign Mike Wallace?
