The Chicago Bears will not have Shea McClellin against the Lions; Injured hamstring in practice
Last week Shea McClellin was a man among boys against the Green Bay Packers. He had a three sack performance and was the main reason that Aaron Rodgers left the game early. Well according to the Chicago Tribune, McClellin was injured in practice yesterday and will not play against the Lions.
“It happened yesterday, accidentally in a drill,” Bears coach Marc Trestman said after Friday’s practice. “We’ll see how he is tomorrow. But I would say right now he’s doubtful.”
It’s an unfortunate setback for a second-year player who had been heavily criticized through the season’s first seven games yet received a major confidence boost from his production Monday night.
“Number 1 on a personal level, I feel bad for him if he doesn’t play,” Trestman said, “because he really had a good game last week. We all know that. And he was moving in the right direction, so certainly disappointed for him.”
