Expect Stevie Johnson to get redemption against the Steelers after his dropped overtime reception in 2010
Stevie Johnson’s most notable drop of his career came against the Pittsburgh Steelers back in 2010. It was a chance to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers in overtime. It was a major drop, and it turned into more than just a drop when Stevie took to twitter.
“I PRAISE YOU 24/7!!!!!!” the then 24-year-old wide out tweeted from his iPad at around 5:15 Sunday after the Steelers’ 19-16 overtime victory. “AND THIS HOW YOU DO ME!!!!! YOU EXPECT ME TO LEARN FROM THIS??? HOW???!!! ILL NEVER FORGET THIS!! EVER!!! THX THO…”
Many went to the media saying that he blamed God, or took it out on GOD, but to be honest, he did what most of us do. When you are a good person and doing things correctly it hurts you to see someone reap the benefits from something when you are a good and faithful servant. Well since that comment, Stevie has become the number 1 receiver in Buffalo and has had three consecutive 1000 yard seasons.
He only has 423 yards going into week 10. The Bills have 7 games remaining, and Johnson will need around 87 yards a game to get over that hump. I think this week Stevie Johnson will go off against the Steelers. God always blesses his children. Expect a huge game, especially if Ike Taylor remains out. I don’t really think it will matter if Ike plays or not, look at the play below, who was burned?
