Lions lose Broyles to knee injury again
Once again, the season for Lions receiver Ryan Broyles will be cut short because of a major injury.
Detroit coach Jim Schwartz confirmed Monday that the 2012 second-round pick who missed the second half of last season with an ACL tear is done for this year after rupturing his Achilles tendon in Sunday’s win vs. the Cowboys. Broyles will undergo surgery Tuesday.
On the season, Broyles — who also tore his ACL during his senior season of college — had caught eight passes for 85 yards in six games.
Broyles knees are not very good, the only good thing to come out of this is Nate Burleson will return soon.
