Detroit Lions promote Jeremy Ross the Packers former return man
Today the Detroit Lions promoted Jeremy Ross from their practice squad to play this weekend. Ross was the former return man for the Packers before getting released. To make room for Ross, the Lions released tight end Dorin Dickerson, whom they signed earlier this week.
Ross, 25, appeared in three games for the Packers earlier this season. He is most known for his kick-returning ability and could handle punts and kickoffs if needed.
The Lions appear likely to have six wide receivers available on Sunday at Cleveland.Calvin Johnson (knee) is probable. Kris Durham, Ryan Broyles, Kevin Ogletree, Micheal Spurlock and Ross are the Lions’ other healthy wideouts.
