Chargers LB Thomas Keiser is making an impact for the Bolts
Thomas Keiser was an undrafted free agent from Stanford who was signed last year by the Carolina Panthers. After hanging around the practice squad for the Panthers he was released. Keiser finally latched on to the San diego practice squad and had been doing well. After losing several linebackers to injury the Chargers were forced to activate the former Cardinal.
Well what a blessing Keiser has been. Last week against the Jaguars he was able to get 2 sacks on Chad Henne. That brings his total to 4.5 sacks in two years. The guy is playing very well and could be a huge pick up for the Chargers. He has honestly played just as good as Jarrett Johnson in his absence.
“I play with a chip on my shoulder, regardless of what is said as far as whether we’re missing playmakers or not,” Keiser said. “When it comes down to it, I entered this league as an undrafted free agent. Nobody expected me to do anything. And every day I go out there, I have to live with those consequences.
“It’s harder coming in that way. It’s harder earning opportunities to play. And once I get on the field, I take that very seriously because it’s something that was hard to earn. So I go out there and try to make plays.”
You have to love his motivation, the kid is hungry.
