Chargers claim former Packer draft pick Lawrence Guy off waivers from Colts
Today the San Diego Chargers claimed a guy off the waivers that will immediately help their pass rush. That player was Lawrence Guy. The 6-4, 318-pound Guy played the last season for the Colts, appearing in 11 games and recording 22 tackles and one sack. He played a significant role in Indianapolis’ win last week against the Seattle Seahawks when he blocked a field goal that the team returned for a touchdown.
Guy was originally a seventh round draft choice (233rd overall) by the Green Bay Packers in 2011. Guy came out of Southern California and was a very solid pass rusher for the Trojans. To make room for Guy, the Chargers released Jairus Wynn.
