5 players that should be traded just out of respect for the player
I thought of this topic last night and quite frankly, there are some great players on teams that don’t deserve to have the player. Some of these teams I am about to list make me upset, because they do not do enough to make the team better around them to win. They are always in the same predicament and to be honest, if they leave they might have a chance to win a game somewhere.
First off is Larry Fitzgerald. The Arizona Cardinals have been horrible since Kurt Warner, and let’s face it, Carson Palmer is not getting it done. I think that Larry Fitzgerald should be traded to a team that is a contenders, like the New England Patriots. I mean could you imagine Tom Brady with Larry Fitz? The heck with Peyton Manning/Wes Welker, that could be the best 1/2 punch in the NFL. Arizona do him a favor, cut him loose.
Next is Tony Gonzalez. Gonzo has been one of the best tight ends ever to play the game, and he has been amazing over the past 10 plus years. He started off as a Kansas City Chief, and to be honest, the Falcons should trade him back to the Chiefs so he can finally get his chance at the Super Bowl. He is not going to get one with the Falcons this year, so do the man a favor, TRADE HIM.
The poor Minnesota Vikings, you have two players you need to Trade, because starting any of your quarterbacks is an embarrassment for both Adrian Peterson and Jared Allen. Both of those players come in and work extremely hard to get better week in and week out, while your team doesn’t. I think the Vikings need to trade both AP and Allen to a contender, help them out, give them a shot. I mean they are not going to be great forever.
The last player I would trade is London Fletcher. The guy is getting old and he deserves better. He has been the backbone of every defense he has played for. The guy needs to be on a roster that can get them over the hump. I want to see this guy with two Super Bowl rings, because he is one of the hardest working players in the NFL. He has the most consecutive starts of all time for a linebacker, and has came from the bottom. From a very small college to a pro bowler, to a super bowl champ. He has been one of the best in the business. Trade him Redskins.
