Tyler Peerson

What is your Height/Weight? 

6’5″ 305lbs

What is your position? 

Offensive Guard

Where do you play college football? 

California University of Pennsylvania

Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field? 

Some players from my team and I help out at a local fish fry that the California fire Department hosted.

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

Descriptive statistics in psychology

Where are you from? 

Bethlehem, Pennsylvania

Who is your role model, and why? 

My father because he is a blue collar guy that works hard to provide my brother and I a better upbringing than he had.

Did you play any other sports growing up? 

Since I was young I’ve played baseball, basketball, football, hockey, kickboxing, and wrestling. By the time I got to high school I stuck with football, hockey, and wrestling.

Did you play any other positions in football? 

In my life, I’ve played every position on the offensive and defensive line. In college, I’ve played tackle and guard

At your position, what separates you from others? 

My ability to finish blocks until the whistle.

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

When I break down film, I look for different defensive fronts, what blitzes/stunts they run, what tendencies will tip off blitzes/stunts, and tendencies of individual players like what their favorite pass rush moves are and how they defend the run.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

Julian Howsare 

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why? 

Dan Koppen because of the way he came off the ball and got after people. 

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it? 

I have been very fortunate that I haven’t had any major obstacles. The most difficult things I’ve had to overcome were deaths of loved ones. I overcame them with the support of friends and family.

Do you have any pre-game rituals? 

I sit in front of my locker focused and envision having success on the field.

What is your biggest strength? 

Feet, hands, and head placement in run blocking.

What is your biggest weakness? 

Sometimes I open my hips in pass protection.

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say? 

I am coachable, hard working, high motor guy that can be an asset to your team if given the chance.

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up? 

Giants

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose? 

Grandmother, Grandfather, and Uncle Jimmy

What will be the first big item you buy once you are in the NFL?

I would buy my Mother a new car.
