xavier walkerDid you play any other sports growing up?

Played organized baseball and football

Did you play any other positions in football?

I’ve played CB, S, & WR.

At your position, what separates you from others?

I’m 6’3 and can Cover more ground than it looks. Im very vocal I feel like that is the most important objective about being in the back end, especially the safety spots. Also due to fact that I’ve played in both sides of the ball, it kind of gives me an idea of an offenses tendencies just by looking at a formation.

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

I typically watch how efficient their play calling is and how well the move the ball. That kind of gives me an insight on how to prepare for them throughout the week. Once Play calling is diagnosed I watch to see what formations they like to get into in certain situations. I like to play to compete so I also break down each individual player rather it’s the QB, WR, or RB.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

Probably Derrick Henry

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

It’ll be a mix between Kam Chancellor and Cordarrelle Patterson. CP is my old teammate, has tremendous playing ability but is known for the nickname “Flash”. Kam chancellor is another big time safety that I admire his passion for the game and the energy he brings when he’s on the field.

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

One of the hardest things I had to overcome football wise was transitioning in to stand out. When everyone doubted me I always made it my duty to prove them wrong or right. Football is a passionate sport and you gotta be committed so you don’t get lost in the sauce.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

I try to speak to my mom or someone else significantly close to me in my life.

As a small school football player what obstacles do you feel you have to overcome?

I’ve been on a “small” school program, so to say, since I was in high school. I know not to overlook anyone. I’m a natural born competitor and I’m going to play you’re the best even if your the worst and vice versa.

What is your biggest strength?

My range I can cover a lot of ground, my height, speed, strength, tackling. Play diagnose.

What is your biggest weakness?

I feel like I can work on being a better open field tackler. Work on my ball skills also so I can  better me as a player individually and an even better asset to my organization .

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

I’m dedicated, very committed to the game and a hard worker that’s will compete day in day out no matter what.

Mike Vick, I think everybody wanted to be him.
