What is your name?

Mike Williams

What is your Height/Weight?

5’9/195

What is your position?

Strong/ Free safety KR/PR

Where do you play college football?

Lock Haven University

Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field?

Volunteered to help run a youth camp for kids who might not get the chance to play or learn the game of football. I had the opportunity to spend a day with the kids to basically run them through the life of a college football player for the day.

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

Statistics

Where are you from?

Allentown Pennsylvania

Who is your role model, and why?

My mom is my role model! She’s everything I want to be in a person. She raised my three siblings and I, by herself and never complained once! Growing up she worked so much I would only see her when she was taking me to a sporting event or she was making us breakfast or dinner. Even when she was diagnosed with cancer my senior year of high school she made sure we always had what we needed and still never put herself first. She’s the most caring, hardworking , dedicated person I know and that’s where I get my work ethic from. I want to give back to her as much as I can!

Did you play any other sports growing up?

I played basketball and baseball also ran track in high school.

Did you play any other positions in football?

I played all over the place. I played every skill position on offense and on defense I played every defensive back position and outside linebacker

At your position, what separates you from others?

I think my knowledge of the game and understanding the offensive scheme  is what separates me from other! I always find my self in the right position to make plays. Also I love to hit not many guys my size like to come up and make a big hit on a player whether it’s a big Running back or a Tight end.

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

I look for tendencies of the offense. If I pick up what the offense likes to do on what down and distance it puts me in the best position to make plays. Then I look at any indicators the offensive line gives up. I believe in looking for the small things because sometimes it’s so small that they don’t realize they are tipping me off on what they are going to do.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

Rondel White from West Chester University from my sophomore year of college .

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

Tyrann Mathieu! We are very versatile players who can be used in many ways. Some people call us  small but tough! I think I’m the toughest player on the field despite my size. I don’t back down from anyone and will never back down from anyone. I can blitz and get to the quarterback, I can come down and fill a hole and also make open field tackles! I don’t have a problem with covering big receivers or short quick receivers.

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

The biggest obstacle I had to overcome is learning how to be a man without a father figure in my life. My father hasn’t really been in my life and my step dad was murdered when I was I think five or six years old. I have a tattoo for him so he’s with me everyday. My mom is my biggest supporter I have and she’s taught me everything I need know how to be the man of the house. I think I had to grow up a lot faster then the normal person and that’s only made me stronger as a person.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

The night before games I like to relax and take a hot shower and watch film. I do this before every game!

As a small school football player what obstacles do you feel you have to overcome?

I think just getting a chance to play at the next level. I know I can play with anyone in the country all I need is the opportunity.

What is your biggest strength?

I think my biggest strength is my strength! Also being versatile and being able to move around the defense.

What is your biggest weakness?

I need to work on my foot work I think my foot work can be better.

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

I don’t think there’s a player who’s going to outwork me. I will come into every workout, practice, meeting pretty much anything giving a 100 percent! There’s no doubt in my mind that you will say man that kid really works hard.

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up?

Right now my favorite player is Tyrann Mathieu. My favorite team growing up is the Atlanta Falcons because of my favorite player of all time Mike Vick.

If you could have dinner with three people?

Ariana Grande, Barrack Obama and Allen Iverson.

With your first NFL paycheck what would you buy?

I would send my mom on a long vacation. I know she deserves to relax for awhile and finally enjoy herself. Also I for myself I would probably buy a Cadillac CTS! It’s been my favorite car since I was in 7th grade.
