NFL Draft Diamonds and our staff have been bringing our readers Prospect Interviews over the past 2 years and this year we mixed up the questions and added some fun questions for our readers. We have tons of NFL staff that read our interviews, and we actually received several of the questions from NFL scouts we speak too. This gives them a little bit more information regarding your character. We hope to bring you more than 300 interviews of NFL Draft Prospects this season. You will be able to track them all on the front page of our website in the banner.

What is your name?

My name is Jeremy Massey.

What is your Height/Weight?

6’0 185lbs

What is your position?

Cornerback

Where do you play college football?

North Greenville University.

Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field?

Going to read to little children at Elementary schools.

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

Old Testament class.

Where are you from?

Rock Hill, South Carolina. Born and raised.

Who is your role model, and why?

My role model would have to be current Buffalo Bill Stephon Gilmore. Just a guy that keeps his nose clean and out of the limelight. You never hear his name mentioned in any trouble. He’s a great player and gets it done on and off the field.

Did you play any other sports growing up?

I only played football and ran track.

Did you play any other positions in football?

I played running back in my youth days and later converted to cornerback in high school.

At your position, what separates you from others?

What separates me from others at my position is my length. I’m a long and rangy guy so it gives me the ability to compete with bigger receivers.

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

I look for route combinations I will get out of certain personnel’s. I also breakdown a receiver by different tendencies he have at the line and when running his routes.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

Marcus Lattimore.

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

I would compare myself to Aqib Talib. He’s a long armed guy with good size and he has the ability to compete with anybody when the ball is thrown in the air.

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

The biggest obstacle I had to overcome in my life was getting injured in camp last season when I played at Charleston Southern in 14′. Ankle injury which caused me to sit the entire season. I ended up getting a call from the NCAA telling me that my clock and eligibility was up on the division 1 level because I ran out of semesters and the only way I was going be able to play my last year I would have to transfer down to division 2 in order to play. How I overcome those things was I focused on rehabbing and coming back stronger and graduating last spring. After I graduated from Charleston Southern last spring, North Greenville University opened up the door for me to come and play my last season in 15′.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

I pray before every game.

As a small school football player what obstacles do you feel you have to overcome?

Being the underdog and having to come ready to perform every week versus bigger schools such as players in the  SEC.

What is your biggest strength?

My length and speed.

What is your biggest weakness?

Improving tackling.

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

I’m a good kid with character on and off the field. I have no off the field issues. I’m a hard worker. I will come to work each day and I’m open to learning things.

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up?

Favorite player growing up would have to be Michael Vick and my favorite team is the Cowboys.

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

My grandma and grandad. Pauline & Joseph Moore and the president.

With your first NFL paycheck what would you buy?

Something for my mother.
