Where do you play college football?

Norfolk State University

Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field?

I have volunteered to help kids with there classwork at the local elementary school

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

The class I’m in now called Steel Structures

Where are you from?

Reston, VA

Who is your role model, and why?

My role model is Michael Jordan. He is not only the greatest athlete, he is also a very intelligent businessman, hard worker, and a competitor.

Did you play any other sports growing up?

Basketball

Did you play any other positions in football?

In little league I always was an OL/DL

At your position, what separates you from others?

I know what others are going to do before they do it

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

I look at the personnel, both offensive linemen and skill players to see what each one’s tendencies are.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

University of Buffalo offensive lineman

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

I would compare my self to Robert Mathis we are basically the same size both came from HBCU and a lot of people doubted him just like they doubt me

deon king 1What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

Getting to college didn’t know after my senior year of high school what I was going to do until I got an opportunity to go to Fork Union. The rest is history from there.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

Pray literally when I walk on the field

As a small school football player what obstacles do you feel you have to overcome?

The competition level, knowing people are saying I can’t play or get drafted because if the competition level.

What is your biggest strength?

My knowledge for the game

What is your biggest weakness?

I feel I can work on my game through all aspects and work out any flaws that I may show

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

You are getting a guy that will give you everything that he has everyday. I will never have trouble off the field and most importantly do everything possible for this organization to be number 1.

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

The late great Derrick Thomas, Robert Mathis, Michael Jordan

With your first NFL paycheck what would you buy?

I should already be living somewhere so probably shoes and clothes
