NFL Draft Diamonds and our staff have been bringing our readers Prospect Interviews over the past 2 years and this year we mixed up the questions and added some fun questions for our readers. We have tons of NFL staff that read our interviews, and we actually received several of the questions from NFL scouts we speak too. This gives them a little bit more information regarding your character. We hope to bring you more than 300 interviews of NFL Draft Prospects this season. You will be able to track them all on the front page of our website in the banner.

Brandon Perkins

5’9/205

DB/RB

Where do you play college football?

Western New Mexico University

Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field?

The coolest thing I have done off the field was help at a kids football camp. Teaching those little kids was an amazing experience.
What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

Physiology of Exercise

Where are you from?

Tucson, Arizona

Who is your role model, and why?

My role model is my dad because my whole life he has coached me in every sport I played and he has taught me about crucial things in life. I see how hard he works everyday without complaint because he knows what has to be done.

Did you play any other sports growing up?

Basketball, Baseball, and Track

Did you play any other positions in football?

Punter and WR

At your position, what separates you from others?

My ability to get hands on the WR, read routes, and with my football IQ it makes me a great playmaker

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

I like to look at how a WR releases off the line, how they run their routes against zone coverages.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

Paul Browning of CSU Pueblo

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

Darrelle Revis because I have the same playing style as him. He can cover any WR from outside to slot WR and I can also do the same thing

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

The biggest obstacle of my life was my freshman year in high school; I broke my ankle the first game of the season so I missed out of football for the year and my uncle passed away too. My parents were there with me every step of the way to help motivate me to just stay focused everything will be alright, so I listened and worked twice as hard each and every day to help me.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

i have a list of songs I listen to, I go to the field in my shoes and jog around the work some technique stuff then come inside and sleep or just relax in my locker before I have to get ready

As a small school football player what obstacles do you feel you have to overcome?

I have to overcome the fact that I played division 2 football so my level of play is a factor. The exposure you get at a D1 school is definitely more than what i get here. Also, my height is considered to be a problem but I play bigger than my height.

What is your biggest strength?

I believe my biggest strength is my aggressiveness

What is your biggest weakness?

I believe my biggest weakness is sometimes I take too much chances

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

You would be getting a hard working player that is willing to do anything to help your program win.

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up?

Growing up my favorite player was Deion Sanders and my favorite NFL team is the Oakland Raiders

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

Deion Sanders, Barry Sanders, and Ed Reed

I would actually pay off my parents house and cars for them
