Western Oregon University

Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field?

Going to Elementary schools and talking with the kids and hanging out with them.

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

Philosophy

Where are you from?

Woodburn, Oregon

Who is your role model, and why?

My brother John, because he tells me what I need to hear instead of what I want.

Did you play any other sports growing up?

Basketball

Did you play any other positions in football?

Lined up as receiver

At your position, what separates you from others?

My size, hands, and physicality

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

What I’m doing incorrectly and look at ways to fix or correct it

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

My teammate George Swartzlander

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

Jason Witten because we are similar in run blocking and physicality.

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

Playing collegiate basketball and then switching over to football. It was a tough transition but having a good coach and consistency in my training made the transition easier and helped me overcome that obstacle.

Visual the game and get my head right.

What is your biggest strength?

Run-blocking, catching the football, physical

What is your biggest weakness?

Route running

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

I’m a big tight end that will block well and catch the ball.  I’m reliable on and off the field.

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up?

Rob Gronkowski and Green Bay Packers

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

John Wooden, Bill Belichick, and Chris Farley

What will be the first big item you buy once you are in the NFL?

Pay off my school loans
