Kevin Kavalec

6’3″ 255

What is your position?

DE/OLB

Where do you play college football?

Boston College

Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field?

Over the summers we would visit Camp Harbor View as a team, which is a summer camp for the inner city youth of Boston, and play a variety of sports with the kids. It was always a great time to go out with my teammates and play sports with the kids.

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

I was pre-med for a couple of years and took some pretty challenging Biology courses the hardest being Molecules and Cells.

Where are you from?

I’m from Cleveland, Ohio.

Who is your role model, and why?

My dad is my role model. I have looked up to him my whole life and now that I’m older I appreciate even more everything he has done for my family and myself.

Did you play any other sports growing up?

Yes, I played hockey, baseball, wrestled for a year, golf, basketball, and track and field.

Did you play any other positions in football?

When I was young I actually played QB and LB, but in high school I played TE and DE.

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

I try to pick up on offensive tendencies such as what plays they run out of certain formations so that pre-snap I’ll have a pretty good idea of what play they are going to run.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

Jameis Winston. No matter how many times we hit him he just kept slinging the rock all over the field and kept his composure.

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

The player I compare myself to the most is Rob Ninkovich. We have pretty similar size and speed and I feel we have a pretty similar playing style.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

No

What is your biggest strength?

I’m a very dependable teammate and pride myself on getting my job done on every snap.

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

I am a very reliable and loyal player who will leave it all on the field, keep my head down, and get the job done.

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up?

I’ve been a Cleveland Browns fan my whole life. It hasn’t always been easy but always faithful to the brownies.

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

Bruce Springsteen, George Washington, and my Papa John
