What is your name?

Garrett Safron

Where do you play college football?

Sacramento State

How many teams were recruiting you out of high school?

Just a few. Eventually walking on to sac state

How did you choose your school?

They gave me the opportunity to walk on during my official visit

Where are you from?

Los Angeles CA

Who is your role model, and why?

My mom. She is the hardest working women I know. And I wouldn’t be where I am at today without her support!

Have any scouts met with you yet, and if so what are they saying?

Not personally. But many of them have stopped by during the season. And they are still coming in

Did you play any other sports growing up?

I played Basketball, baseball, and soccer

Did you play any other positions in football?

No. But I do think I can

At your position, what separates you from others?

My playmaking ability. If things break down I’m able to extend plays with my feet

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

The defensive scheme. Finding windows in the defense that we want to attack and plays that we can attack them with

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

Andrew Luck

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

Aaron Rodgers. When his number is called he makes plays. I think my playmaking ability matches up

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

When my best friend passed away in a car crash. I haven’t necessarily overcame it because I think about him daily. But my support system kept my head straight. And I know KB would want me to do it for him! R.I.P.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

Of course. Its a long process, But the most important thing I do is pray

What is your biggest strength?

In general, I pride myself in hard work. I know that things aren’t going to be handed to me and I have to go earn it. I’ve earned everything I have

What is your biggest weakness?

Understanding blocking schemes. My center made the calls for me. So it is something that I want to learn to add to my game

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

You will not regret me being apart of your organization. I will work day in and day out to help this team win on and off the field.

Who was your favorite player and NFL team growing up?

Tom Brady! I am a Redskins fan. Huge RG3 fan

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

Jesus Christ. Michael Jordan, Tom Brady
