Old Dominion University 

How many teams were recruiting you out of high school?

How did you choose your school?

I chose ODU because of the great coaching staff, the travel distance it was from my family in Washington DC and prior players who were from my hometown in DC. 

Where are you from?

Washington, DC

Who is your role model, and why?

My mother because she was by far the strongest and most influential  person in my life. 

eriqHave any scouts met with you yet, and if so what are they saying?

Currently, I have not met with any scouts.

Did you play any other sports growing up?

Yes, I was heavily involved in track and field and o also boxed in my earlier years. 

Did you play any other positions in football?

Yes, quarter back, running back, wide receiver and safety. 

At your position, what separates you from others?

When playing my position I separate myself from others because I am take pride in intensive film study. I am very aggressive, quick and have great ball skills. But mostly my film study separates me from other DBs. 

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

I look for quarter back tendencies wide receiver tendencies and break down plays passed on personnel and a teams favorite plays. 

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

Justin Hardy, from ECU. He’s a great player. 

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

Cortland Finnegan because he is aggressive, fast and plays the position how it’s supposed to be played. He’s plays the game with a lot of emotion just as I do.  

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

The biggest obstacle in my life was losing my mother. Family support and prayer got me through that tough time. 

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

Yes, I pray, eat a bag of skittles and listen to the same three songs. 

What is your biggest strength?

My biggest strength is my ability to persevere through life’s challenges. 

What is your biggest weakness?

My biggest weakness is putting myself before others. 

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

Football is my passion and you can see that in every game. I’m a natural born leader, if you give me a message not only will I follow it I will make sure my teammates follow suit. I feel as though I am a player you would want on your team. 

Who was your favorite player and NFL team growing up?

Growing up my favorite player was Charles Woodson, and my favorite team is the Indianapolis Colts. 

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

My mother, and my two grandmothers, because of them I am the man I am today.
