Where do you play college football?

Stillman College Division 2 Tuscaloosa, Al

How many teams were recruiting you out of high school?

Not many teams maybe 2 0r 3 D1AA, None D2

How did you choose your school?

I called Stillman College knowing they just hired a new coach, got In contact with the coaching staff. Coach Teddy Keaton told me to send my highlight tape he called back in 30 sec told me that he would give me an offer. Took a visit the next week I committed that day of the visit. I felt like home when I was around the coaching staff they all told me I would come in an change the program along with the rest of my teammates.

Where are you from?

I was born and raised in Marietta, GA

Who is your role model, and why?

My role model is my father Ricky Purnell from Winona, Mississippi. My Dad is the true definition of Man. My dad not just somebody I look up to friends of mine as well see him as their father. My dad has never asked any one to do anything for him he has always got it on his own. The way my dad goes about things make me just sit back in thank like how does he do things like that. The advice he’s given me throughout my life I honestly wouldn’t be here without him. The Husband he is to my mother Nadine Purnell from Winona, Ms is something how I would like to treat my wife in the future. My dad has always told me “ if you want something, you have to work for it its not gone be easy” my father is something I’m going to be in more they way he loves his family unconditional is in creditable. I’m thankful to call him my father.

Have any scouts met with you yet, and if so what are they saying?

I talked with some CFL coaches they told me that I am high on their draft board. Talk to few NFL teams Falcons, Bills, Saints, Panthers they all said they have close eye on me I’m on there draft board a lot more teams looking at me also just haven’t talk yet. Should be talking to these teams soon since the season winding down.

Did you play any other sports growing up?

I Played baseball all way up till my senior year in high school

Did you play any other positions in football?

I played QB all my life, switched to WR my sophomore year in college

At your position, what separates you from others?

I am able to make plays when I get open space; my vision to get to the end zone is something that comes so natural. With my work ethic I put my self in position to just do what I do since I was little make play when the opportunity is there.

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

When Looking at film I check my match ups for the week. I check what coverage’s the team runs, when they blitz, are the safeties rolling the coverage often do they stay still when we have motion going. Can they coverage down field well, are they just a run stop team. Basically just looking at the little things the defense those.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

The toughest player I have played has to be Tyler Hunter for Florida State in the second round state playoff in high school

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

My play compared to most in the NFL is Percy Harvin the way he plays the game is how you should play fast, Physical, 110% every time he step on the field.

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

The Biggest obstacle I had to over come losing my closest family members. I know they are looking over me so I know that everything will be ok.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

Pre-game rituals running to the far end zone giving thanks to the lord

What is your biggest strength?

All ways having Faith no matter what!

What is your biggest weakness?

Losing family members

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

I give 110% at everything I do, I put my all in to Winning nothing else matters. My goal is to help your team to when a Super Bowl

Michael Vick Atlanta Falcons

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

My Grandma Marie Purnell, Aunt Cheryl Burnett, and my Sister Jackie Swayer
