What is your name?

My name is Akil Washington

What is your Height/Weight?

I am 6 ft 1 and weigh 210lbs

What is your position?

I play wide receiver both outside and slot wide receiver.

Where do you play college football?

I played for West Virginia State University.

Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field?

The coolest thing I have done off the field is do different campus out reach activities with the local church that I attend while I am away at school.  

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

The hardest college class I ever took, was statistics.

Where are you from?

I am from Capitol Heights, Maryland.

Who is your role model, and why?

My role model is my older brother, Nyema Washington. I admire his work ethic and the way he bounces back from adversity.

Did you play any other sports growing up?

I played some basketball and ran track growing up.

At your position, what separates you from others?

At wide receiver, what separates me is my physical-ness and passion that I play with.

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

When breaking down film I look for how athletic a corner back is and tendencies such as which hand they shoot first in press coverage.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

The toughest player I ever faced would be Jacob Jean Charles out of Fairmont State University.

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

If I could compare myself to one player in the NFL, it would Anquan Boldin because of his passion and physical ability.

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

The biggest obstacle in my life I had to overcome was losing two grandmothers in one summer. I overcame it by just bringing attitude to practice to go hard every play for them.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

My pre game ritual is when we run on the field run across the field and to pray in the end zone.

What is your biggest strength?

My biggest strength is my passion for the game, my passion wills me to never lose 1o1 battles.

What is your biggest weakness?

My biggest weakness is that I don’t run a 4.3 40 yard dash.

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

My last sell to a GM would be is that you need a guy like me on your team. I’m self-less, passionate, and have a blue collar attitude.

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up?

My favorite player was Michael Vick and the Atlanta Falcons.

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

If I could have dinner with three people it’d be Jesus, And both of my grandmothers.

What will be the first big item you buy once you are in the NFL?

Once I am in the NFL the first big item I would buy is a car.
