What makes you a top prospect at your position in the 2027 NFL Draft?
Despite being 6’1 and never truly having the spotlight at my position, I learned at an early age that I needed to turn raw ability into a refined skill set. I am a very versatile player playing all 3 interior positions for a large amount of snaps. I learned to play with an edge and used leverage as a skill set.
Tell me about a time you faced adversity and how you responded?
October 2020 my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 Colorectal cancer. This would be her second cancer diagnosis she would have to beat. Months later my uncle that lived down the street from me passed away from covid. Covid continued to then take away any and all prospects of future college football scholarships . I was given an opportunity for a school visit at Stetson University where I was given the chance to play at the next level and continue to chase my dream. After my freshmen season I earned freshmen all conference.
What are your hobbies outside of football?
My hobbies outside of football are playing golf and fishing. Anything outdoors really, but what I like about golf and fishing is that it clears the mind, and I am only thinking about the next shot and next cast.
What role do you see yourself playing at the next level?
The role I see myself playing is just someone that comes in and works day in and day out with no expectations. I want to just take the opportunity and make the most out of it by playing every snap with full effort.
If you could donate to one cause in the world, what would it be?
Since 2020 I have been a continued supporter of Colorectal cancer awareness. CRC is the leading cause of death in people under the age of 50. I would continue to use my platform to put this cause in the spotlight.
How do you handle coaching, especially criticism or being corrected repeatedly?
I embrace coaching because there is always room to improve. As a center I know that my attitude and response to coaching affects the entire line. My goal would be to learn, adjust, and get better.
Who is the most underrated teammate at your school?
Bertin Placide because he came in as a transfer with pure raw talent, and really proved this year to be a shut down corner for our team. He is consistently dependable.
If you could have dinner with three people, dead or alive, who would it be and why did you choose them?
Three people I would have dinner with would be my grandfather because he died when I was younger and he was very influential in my work ethic. Next would be Willie Lampkin because he is proving that height doesn’t truly matter in offensive lineman if you have great technique and heart. And the last would be Jesus because he is my lord and savior, and I wouldn’t be able to play this sport without him.
If you were benched tomorrow, what would be the most likely reason?
The most likely reason would be because of injury. Playing in the trenches, injury sometimes happens due to the nature of the game.
Walk me through your typical pre-game routine?
My pre game ritual usually starts the night before with a quick meditation to clear my mind and use the notmatechs boots for recovery. The morning of the game I read my bible and listen to my music. Before the game I like to hit a quick stretch and drink an orange reign energy drink while listening to reggae music.
What is your favorite snack food?
My favorite snack food is celery and peanut butter.During the holidays it would be my nana’a peach cobbler.
What scheme do you feel you fit the best in?
I feel best in any type of offense because of the diverse schemes I have ran at all 3 schools I have attended. However I feel very comfortable in a balanced set offense including zone and gap scheme, and pass protection by the use of shotgun and under the center.
What is your degree in?
Nutrition
What would be the first thing you buy with your first NFL check?
I would invest in a property for me and my future family so that it would be paid off by the time I am finished with football.
Describe a time in a game where you feel you made a mistake, and explain how you bounced back?
Earlier this season I got yelled at from the side line by my head coach about finishing the play when the whistle is blown. I landed on top of the D-lineman after the play was over. That game and instance taught me about controlled aggression between the whistles.
Name three songs, we can expect on your playlist?
I have a very diverse playlist that goes from Reggae to country to house music. Three songs that would for sure be on my playlist would be Entombed by deaf tones, Boomtown by treaty oak revival and wait and see by iration.
