Sam Darnold, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Mike Maconald and the Seattle Seahawks face Bryce Young, Tetairoa McMillan, Dave Canales and the Carolina Panthers in a huge NFC matchup with Playoff implications. The Seahawks control their path to the number 1 seed and a first round bye in the Playoffs while the Panthers could clinch a Playoff birth this Sunday or next week in a rematch with the Buccaneers.

The Panthers will have home field advantage which hasn’t existed that often for their franchise in recent years since Cam Newton suffered his shoulder injury, Carolina has a good chance if they can run the ball well with their very good duo in Rico Dowdle and Chuba Hubbard and stay away from third and long where the Seahawks are lethal with their pass rush, Leonard Williams, Byron Murphy, Ernest Jones, Demarcus Lawrence formulate one of the front lines in the league. Bryce Young will need to use his legs, if they can keep the score close, then the crowd can come alive when Sam Darnold is on the field.

The Seahawks run game is consistent with Zach Charbonnet and Kenneth Walker, Rashid Shaheed adds an element of gadget ability and deep down the field threat, meanwhile Cooper Kupp and AJ Barner are consistent targets outside of JSN.

This game could wind up deciding the NFC West division race and put the Seahawks a game away from a first round bye and hurt the Panthers chances of winning the NFC South or it can be a statement game that announces the Panthers as a threat in the conference if they can win the division.
