Oregon vs Texas Tech – CFP Quarterfinal (Orange Bowl) Preview & Prediction

Dante Moore, Dan Lanning, Dakorien Moore, Matayo Uiagalelei and the Oregon Ducks face Behren Morton, Jacob Rodriguez, David Bailey, Joey McGuire and the Texas Tech Red Raiders in the College Football Playoff Quarterfinals at the Orange Bowl.
This game has the most questions surrounding it and the majority of them are on the Texas Tech side and whether they can compete with a top 5 roster in the CFP that has been a contender the last few years. For Oregon, The Evan Stewart injury kept their best receiver off the field in 2025 but their is a possibility for a return in the CFP.
Will Stein remains with the Ducks staff to coach them and his presence is important facing a top 5 defense with guys like Ben Roberta and Romello Height and Lee Hunter who will make it very tough to get Dierre Hill, Noah Whittington Jayden Limar, Jordon Davison going. Isaiah World and Emmanuel Pregnon need to slow them down to give Dante Moore.
The matchup of Kenyon Sadiq and Jacob Rodriguez may be the best of the playoff watching two NFL prospects go head to head in the middle. The Red Raider offense is explosvie and they have a very well balanced attack, Cameron Dickey is their top back and his collisions with Teitum Tuioti and Bryce Boettcher & Dillon Thieneman will be some of the hardest hitting and physical football play of the whole season and even if it is New Years Day, maybe of all 2026 in CFB.
Caleb Douglas, Reggie Virgil and Coy Eakin need to keep up with the Ducks high flying offense, the Gary Bryant Jr injury and Dakorien Moore injury have limited their two top pass catchers, but Malik Benson, Jamari Johnson have picked up the slack as great targets. The Tosh Lopoi defense is a challenge that Texas Tech hasn’t faced this year and Oregon is now in a fourtante position where they already played a good Penn State, Iowa & Indiana defense that prepares them for this physical challenge.
Oregon is 1.5 point favorites in the Orange Bowl with the fourth best odds to win the National Championship. Enjoy this CFP Quarterfinal Matchup Preview from Blitz With Blinder Video hosted by Josh Blinder.
