MUGSHOT of recently dismissed Kansas State Football Player goes Viral

Kansas State defensive lineman Jayshawn Ross was recently dismissed from the football program following his arrest in Crawford County, and his mugshot quickly drew attention online.
Ross was arrested by the Arma Police Department on Sept. 3 for allegedly distributing marijuana and booked into the Crawford County Jail on a $15,000 bond. In the mugshot, Ross appeared disheveled and wide-eyed, a look that fueled viral reactions and made the incident even more public.
The university confirmed the following day that Ross was no longer part of the team, bringing his time at Kansas State to an abrupt and controversial end.
K-State Athletics confirmed the dismissal on Thursday, Sept. 4. “Jayshawn Ross is no longer a part of the football team,” said Ryan Lackey, a university spokesperson.
Ross, who had been a member of the Wildcats’ defensive line, had joined Kansas State with high expectations but will now see his college football career at K-State come to an abrupt end. His arrest and subsequent dismissal mark a significant setback for both the player and the program.
While details surrounding the case continue to unfold, Ross’s departure underscores the zero-tolerance approach K-State has taken toward off-the-field issues. For now, the Wildcats move forward without him as they continue their season.
