Former Jaguars Football Player Arrested on Domestic Violence Charges
A former professional football player and Alabama Crimson Tide standout has been arrested in Baldwin County, Alabama on multiple charges related to domestic violence.
Timothy “TJ” Yeldon, 31, of Daphne, faces charges of third-degree domestic violence, third-degree criminal mischief, and interference with a domestic violence emergency call, according to the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO).
Deputies said they received a 911 transfer around 1 a.m. on August 16, during which dispatchers could hear what appeared to be a domestic dispute between a man and a woman.
When deputies arrived at a residence in the 28000 block of State Highway 181, they reported that Yeldon turned off the lights and refused to answer the door. The caller told authorities she had locked herself in a bedroom, but Yeldon was attempting to force his way inside, according to the BCSO.
Deputies prepared to make a forced entry when Yeldon ultimately unlocked the door and was taken into custody without further incident.
