The New England Patriots lost two days of OTA’s because they violated an offseason rule according to multiple sources.

This morning, it was reported that the Patriots lost two OTA practices because they reportedly violated league rules. The Patriots team announced that the practices had been canceled.

Thursday’s OTA, in addition to another next week, were taken away as part of the violation, according to sources. It wasn’t immediately known what the specific violation was.

According to Pro Football Talk, an observer from the NFL Players Association believed that one of the optional early offseason meetings was a violation, because the 15-minute meeting in question (a special-teams session) was made visible on the internal schedule.
