Spencer Rattler is expected to leave Oklahoma after losing his starting job?
Before the year began, everyone was drooling over Spencer Rattler. He looked extremely uncomfortable starting for the Sooners. Rattler entered Oklahoma as a five star recruit and led the team to a 9-2 record last season. This year, Rattler looked horrible. He was benched for Caleb Williams and Williams looks like a Heisman Trophy Winner at this point.
Well, according to personal coach Mike Giovando he will not be back in Oklahoma next season.
“Yeah, you know Spencer’s doing everything he’s supposed to do in Oklahoma,” Giovando said in a text. “Just wait the season out, and, if his number is called, he’ll be ready.
“But I mean, of course he’s not going to be there after this year. I mean that’s a no-brainer. Whether or not we declare for the draft or find another school remains to be seen. We just want to keep getting feedback from where he may fall in the draft. And his number one goal is to be a first-round pick one day, so he will do what’s best in the end so he can achieve that goal.
“But he’s doing okay. He really is. He’s handled this very well.”
Giovando has been Rattler’s personal QB coach since he was in the sixth grade. It sounds like Rattler is ready to pack up his bags and move on. Tons of schools will need a quarterback, but this does not look very good.
