HBCU Heroes: Week 2 standouts who caught the eye of the HBCU Spirit of America Bowl
The 4th Annual HBCU Spirit of America Bowl will be played on January 19,
Kyle Anthony, WR, Howard – The Miramar, Florida native went off this week for the Bison. Even though Howard came up short to Youngstown State, Anthony had a monster game, finishing with 10 receptions for 146 yards and 3 touchdowns. Anthony has turned into a superstar wide receiver and I know for fact NFL teams are paying attention.
Derrick Kittrell, RB, Bowie State University – This week Bowie State running back Derrick Kittrell the former Towson back ran for 93 yards and scored two touchdowns. The Baltimore, Maryland native is a big back standing at 6000 and weighs 210 pounds. He can also catch the ball out the backfield and turn up field.
Keshawn Williams, RB, Arkansas Pine-Bluff – The Senior running back from Pine Bluff, Arkansas had a day in the SWAC opener for the Golden Lions. Williams tore up Alabama A&M defense for 206 yards on the ground on 21 carries. The 5100, 195-pound running back ran hard this past weekend and helped UAPB get their first win over AAMU 52-34.
Rico Kennedy, LB, Morgan State University – The Morgan State linebacker had a great game against Bowling Green racking up 14 tackles and 1 tackle for loss. I am a huge fan of Kennedy and I feel he will have NFL teams looking at him. The 6030 and
