Patrick Mahomes, Andy Reid, Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs find themselves in a position that they have never been in together, which is outside of the NFL Playoff Picture. Justin Herbert, Jim Harbaugh and the Chargers are very likely headed back to the postseason, what stands in their way is a slate of 4 difficult games against tough opponents that are currently in the hunt or hold good playoff positioning.
Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy haven’t had the explosive impact for the Chiefs offense in 2025 that fans were looking for and with the Trey Smith injury and Josh Simmons injury, the offensive line has been one of the worst units in the NFL. The Chargers defense is easily a top 10 unit, Tuli Tuipolotu, Khalil Mack and Derwin James are their stars and capable of wreaking a game on any snap.
For Herbert, his offensive line arguably is the worst unit in Football, he was sacked a career high 7 times vs the Eagles, the Joe Alt Injury and Rashawn Slater injury has forced him to run for his life the entire season. With Omarion Hampton returning from his ankle injury, he played well last week and the offense gets a jolt of electricity and excitement in their first round pick they’ll need Quentin Johnston, Ladd McConkey, Keenan Allen to keep contributing in key moments to beat their rivals.
