Former NFL Superstar Antonio Brown extradited to face trial for Attempted Murder

Former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown has been extradited from the Middle East to the United States to face trial for his alleged role in a May 16 shooting that occurred after a boxing event in Miami, authorities confirmed to the Miami Herald on November 6.
The 37-year-old was living in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, before being extradited—more than four months after a warrant was issued for his arrest. Brown was initially detained in the aftermath of the event, which was hosted by streamer Adin Ross, and later charged with attempted murder. The Miami-Dade County warrant was formally issued on June 11.
This isn’t Brown’s first run-in with the law. The former All-Pro receiver was arrested in Broward County in October 2023 for allegedly failing to pay child support.
During his NFL career, Brown was one of the league’s most dynamic receivers, spending nine seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers and earning multiple All-Pro honors. After his time in Pittsburgh, he was traded to the Oakland Raiders but never played a regular-season game for them. He later had brief stints with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he won a Super Bowl in 2021.
