VIDEO: Attorney Releases New Evidence Clearing Former LSU WR Kyren Lacy of Fatal Crash Accusations

Shocking new evidence has emerged in the case of former LSU wide receiver Kyren Lacy, who was charged with negligent homicide and hit-and-run following a 2024 car crash that killed 78-year-old Herman Hall.
On Thursday, attorney Matt Ory released surveillance clips and police body camera footage that he says prove his client was wrongfully accused. The video shows that at the moment of impact, Lacy’s vehicle was more than 72 yards behind the collision and had already returned to his lane, directly contradicting the original narrative presented by investigators.
“The evidence is clear — at the time of impact, Kyren is 72.6 yards behind the vehicles,” Ory said. “That is NOT how this story was ever painted.”
The newly released body cam footage also raises troubling questions about the initial investigation. In one clip, an officer appears to direct a witness’s statement, suggesting possible misconduct or bias in how the case was handled.
Lacy, just 25 years old, never had the chance to see his name cleared. In April 2025, only days before a scheduled grand jury hearing — which his attorney believed would have exonerated him — Lacy tragically took his own life.
The former Tiger’s career and reputation were derailed by the accusations, which Ory now insists were built on falsehoods. “Kyren was innocent,” the attorney emphasized. “He was wrongly framed, and the weight of those lies cost him everything.”
The heartbreaking turn of events has left many questioning how the case was prosecuted and whether systemic failures led to a promising young athlete losing both his career and his life.
