According to a report from Xuan Thai of ESPN.com, Reshad Jones a former Miami Dolphins defensive back has won a huge lawsuit against Merrill Lynch for 9.5 million dollars.
Jones had 1.56 million dollars stolen from him from his financial advisor Isaiah Williams. Williams a former employee now of Merrill Lynch reportedly robbed Jones over 133 separate transactions.
Williams worked with Octivia Monique Graham to steal an additional 1.03 million dollars from Jones through a complicated laundering scheme involving bank and cash app transfers.
Jones was hoping to get 16 million in the lawsuit from Merrill Lynch but ended up settling for 9.5 million.
Williams now is facing criminal charges of first-degree organized fraud and first-degree grand theft, and faces 30 years in prison. He is currently free on 1 million dollars bail.
This is a wild story, but it just goes to show you how the NFL and the players deal with the wild, wild, west when it comes to money.
