Jacksonville Jaguars v. Cincinnati Bengals
I like the Bengals to come out on top against the Jaguars this week in Cincinnati, with Ja’Marr Chase exploding for a huge performance that proves to be the difference. While Travis Etienne keeps Jacksonville in the game by rushing for 85 yards and punching in two touchdowns, the Bengals’ passing attack ultimately overwhelms the Jags, giving Cincinnati the edge at home.
New York Giants v. Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys dominate the New York Giants in convincing fashion, cruising to a 20-point victory behind a monster performance from CeeDee Lamb, who torches the Giants’ secondary all afternoon. While the Cowboys’ offense rolls, the Giants’ struggles continue as Russell Wilson fails to find any rhythm and is ultimately benched mid-game after another rough outing. Dallas looks every bit the contender, while New York is left searching for answers.
Chicago Bears v. Detroit Lions
The Chicago Bears hand the Detroit Lions their second straight loss, dropping them to a surprising 0-2 start. Second-year quarterback Caleb Williams delivers the best game of his young career, showing poise and playmaking ability against a tough Detroit defense. In a nail-biter, the Bears inch past the Lions thanks to a clutch game-winning field goal, sending Chicago fans home thrilled and leaving Detroit searching for answers early in the season.
Los Angeles Rams v. Tennessee Titans
The Rams’ defense proves to be too much for rookie quarterback Cam Ward, keeping him under duress all afternoon with relentless pressure. Jared Verse makes his presence felt in a big way, racking up two sacks and setting the tone up front. While the Titans manage to find some rhythm late in the game, their surge falls short, and Los Angeles walks away with the win.
New England Patriots v. Miami Dolphins
Drake Maye and the Patriots march into Miami and shock the Dolphins, pulling off an upset that hands Mike McDaniel his second straight loss and turns up the heat on his seat. The young quarterback shows impressive composure, leading New England’s offense with efficiency and confidence. Meanwhile, frustration boils over for the Dolphins as Tyreek Hill implodes on the sidelines and, in a stunning twist, demands a trade following the game.
San Francisco 49ers v. New Orleans Saints
The San Francisco 49ers overwhelm the Saints with relentless defensive pressure, smothering their lackluster offense from start to finish. Despite turning to backup quarterback Mac Jones, the 49ers control the game with efficiency and toughness, ultimately securing a big road win in New Orleans and showing their depth in the process.
Buffalo Bills v. New York Jets
The Bills start off sluggish against the Jets, struggling to find their rhythm early, but manage to pull out a late win in what turns into a nail-biter. Under new head coach Aaron Glenn, the Jets look sharp and well-prepared, giving Buffalo all they can handle. Much like Derrick Henry in Week 1, Breece Hall proves unstoppable on the ground, carving up the Bills’ defense and keeping New York in the fight until the very end.
Seattle Seahawks v. Pittsburgh Steelers
Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers defense prove to be too much for the Seahawks and Sam Darnold, as Pittsburgh pulls out a hard-fought win. The Steelers’ ground game sets the tone early, allowing Rodgers to settle in and flourish with timely throws and veteran command. Seattle battles tough to keep it close, but ultimately the Steelers come out on top by a touchdown in what turns out to be a competitive and entertaining Week 2 matchup.
Cleveland Browns v. Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens make a statement with a dominant win over the Browns, fueled by Derrick Henry’s monster performance. After Grant Delpit’s comments earlier in the week about Henry being easy to tackle, the veteran running back responds in emphatic fashion, rumbling for over 150 yards for the second straight game. Baltimore controls the game from start to finish, silencing Cleveland and cruising to a big victory.
Denver Broncos v. Indianapolis Colts
This week, I like the Colts, led by Daniel Jones, to get the edge over the Broncos and Bo Nix. Jones’ experience and the Colts’ balanced attack give them the tools to control the game, while Denver’s young quarterback still looks for consistency under pressure. Expect the Colts to manage the clock, make key plays in the passing game, and hold off any late rally attempts from the Broncos to secure the win.
Carolina Panthers v. Arizona Cardinals
The Carolina Panthers struggle to contain Marvin Harrison Jr. and Trey McBride, as the Cardinals rally for a big home win. Harrison Jr. makes big plays downfield while McBride proves a reliable target in the red zone, keeping Carolina’s defense on its heels all game. With the victory, Arizona secures a statement win, while the Panthers fall to an 0-2 start and face questions about their defensive consistency.
Philadelphia Eagles v. Kansas City Chiefs
The Philadelphia Eagles deliver a statement blowout over the Kansas City Chiefs, completely shutting down Patrick Mahomes and the high-powered Kansas City offense. Jalen Hurts and Devonta Smith lead the charge for Philadelphia, connecting for big plays all game and putting the Eagles in complete control. With this dominant performance, Philly proves they’re a force to be reckoned with while the Chiefs are left searching for answers.
Atlanta Falcons v. Minnesota Vikings
Second-year quarterback JJ McCarthy finally finds a rhythm with Justin Jefferson, and the connection proves unstoppable against the Falcons. Jefferson makes big plays all game, giving the Vikings the firepower they need, while Aaron Jones adds a strong performance on the ground to keep the offense balanced. Minnesota dominates late and comes away with a solid win, leaving Atlanta struggling to keep up.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers v. Houston Texans
Baker Mayfield and the Buccaneers prove too much for the Texans in a dominant road performance. Tampa Bay’s defense wreaks havoc on Houston’s offensive line, forcing CJ Stroud to scramble under pressure all game. On offense, Mayfield leads efficiently, and Mike Evans delivers a highlight-reel touchdown that puts the game out of reach. The Buccaneers cruise to a convincing win, leaving the Texans reeling at home.
Los Angeles Chargers v. Las Vegas Raiders
Justin Herbert and the Chargers storm into Las Vegas and take control early, delivering a statement win over the Raiders. Herbert spreads the ball efficiently, hitting multiple playmakers and keeping the Raiders’ defense off balance all game. Geno Smith puts up big numbers for Las Vegas, but costly turnovers ultimately doom the Raiders, allowing Los Angeles to walk away with the victory.
