Kansas State EDGE Jayshawn Ross Dismissed From Team Following Arrest

Kansas State football EDGE rusher Jayshawn Ross has been dismissed from the Wildcats program after being arrested early Wednesday morning.
Ross was taken into custody by the Arma Police Department at 4:50 a.m. on Sept. 3 and charged with distributing marijuana, according to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department. He is being held on a $15,000 bond.
A Kansas State spokesperson confirmed Wednesday afternoon that Ross is no longer with the team. His name has also been removed from the official Wildcats roster.
Ross, a former four-star prospect out of Liberty North High School in Kansas City, Missouri, transferred to Kansas State from Alabama in January. He appeared in just one game for the Crimson Tide as a true freshman before making the move to Manhattan.
The redshirt-freshman had yet to play a snap for the Wildcats this season but was spotted on the sidelines during Kansas State’s comeback win over North Dakota on Aug. 30.
