11-year-old football player fatally shot by a 13-year-old boy in Milwaukee

An 11-year-old boy, identified as Deon “Mister” Sargent, tragically lost his life in a shooting during a robbery on Milwaukee’s northwest side Tuesday evening, September 16th.
The incident took place around 6:40 p.m. near 68th and Silver Spring. Authorities confirmed that Sargent was shot and killed during the robbery, and a 13-year-old boy has been arrested in connection to the crime.
Sargent’s death adds to a concerning trend in Milwaukee, where 15 children have lost their lives to gun violence this year.
Family and friends are mourning the loss of the young boy, who was well-known for his passion for youth football, having played for the CLE Panthers for the past three years. Loved ones remembered him affectionately as “Mister.”
The circumstances surrounding the shooting have left the community in shock, with many reflecting on the rising issue of violence affecting young people in the area.
