Former NFL Star Football Player Dies by Suicide at Age 45 | Check on Your People

According to TMZ reports, the star died by suicide in the early morning of September 23rd.
Johnson was a star who was selected in the 4th round of the NFL Draft in 2001.
The Bengals released the following statement:
“Rudi was a fine person and an excellent running back for us,” Brown said. “He was dependable and productive as a player, and very popular among his teammates. Everyone liked him and saw him as a dear friend. We are deeply saddened by his passing.”
Rudi spent seven years with the Bengals before finishing out his career with the Detroit Lions.
The reports say that Johnson struggled with mental health issues since retiring. He had a foundation to help improve the lives of children in and around the Petersburg, Virginia area.
