VIDEO: Army Football Player and his Dad Pulled a Man from Burning Car Moments before it exploded

An Army football player is being praised for his heroism after he and his father saved a driver from a fiery crash near West Point over the weekend.
Larry Pickett Jr., a 20-year-old defensive back for the Black Knights and second-year cadet at the U.S. Military Academy, sprang into action early Sunday morning in Fort Montgomery, New York, about five miles south of campus.
Pickett and his family were driving back to West Point after dinner when they came upon a vehicle that had veered off Route 9W and slammed into a utility pole just after midnight, according to his father, Larry Pickett Sr. The crash left the driver trapped as the car began to burn.
Despite seeing live wires dangling on the ground from the downed pole, Pickett Sr. said he and his son rushed toward the wreckage to reach the driver.
“There was no discussion. My son just jumped right into action,” the elder Pickett said. “He mentioned his military training kicked in, and we pulled [the man] out. He took care of him on the side of the road until the police officers got there, and then the fire department got there shortly after.”
Authorities confirmed the pair managed to free the driver only moments before the vehicle was engulfed in flames.
Pretty amazing footage!
