Five NFL Players Who Could be Traded Before Roster Cuts Tomorrow

We could see some moves in the coming hours around the NFL. I figured I would put together a list of players who could be dealt in the coming hours. The Las Vegas Raiders are currently in need of a new quarterback due to the injury of their backup, Aidan O’Connell, who is expected to miss six to eight weeks. The team is looking for an experienced player to serve as a backup to Geno Smith, who is the starting quarterback. Several teams are looking to trade away their contract problems like Trey Hendrickson and Micah Parsons, and several teams are trying to free up some cap space.

Let’s look at five players who could be dealt before cut down day.

1. Micah Parsons – LB/EDGE, Dallas Cowboys

Parsons has surfaced in speculation due to his looming massive contract extension. If Dallas decided to reset financially and gather a historic haul of draft picks, he’d be the type of blockbuster deal that shakes the league.

2. AJ Epenesa – EDGE, Buffalo Bills

Epenesa has flashed as a rotational pass rusher but hasn’t fully secured a long-term role in Buffalo. With the Bills looking to retool and possibly get future draft capital, Epenesa could be a sneaky trade chip.

3. Trey Hendrickson – EDGE, Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals have had trade calls on Hendrickson before, especially with his contract situation. A contending team desperate for pass rush help could pay up to rent his services for a playoff push.

4. Adam Thielen – WR, Carolina Panthers

Thielen has been the most reliable target for Carolina, but with the Panthers in a rebuild, his veteran presence could fetch a mid-round pick from a playoff contender that needs a dependable slot receiver.

5. Anthony Richardson – QB, Indianapolis Colts

After getting benched, Richardson’s name has been tossed around in hypothetical scenarios. With his rookie year cut short by injury, some wonder if the Colts would move on from their former first round pick if the right deal came their way.
