West Alabama freshman football player killed in car crash
The University of West Alabama (UWA) is mourning the loss of freshman football player Elisha “EJ” Jones, who tragically died this past Saturday in a fatal car crash. Jones, a standout athlete from Baldwin County High School, was remembered by peers as “a light to everyone”—a testament to his warmth and the genuine connections he forged both on and off the field.
Though UWA has not issued an official statement yet, tributes have poured in from fellow students, coaches, and friends who described Jones as someone for whom “everyone was his friend.”
