5 things to watch in Chicago Bears Training Camp

1. The marriage of Caleb Williams and Ben Johnson. Can Caleb’s footwork and release be improved enough for him to take a significant jump in year 2?
2. The O-Line. How quickly can they mesh? Will it be the veteran Braxton Jones or either 2nd year man Kiran Amegadje or 2nd round rookie Ozzy Trapillo? Can the improved o-line significantly reduce the massive number of sacks Williams incurred last season?
3. Will Dennis Allen’s defense be an improvement? Will the man defense work for our defensive backs? Can we stop the run?
4. Will someone emerge at defensive end? As of now, it’s a big hole and concern (again). Does Poles pick someone up?
5. Will the team as a whole buy in? So far, it looks good. One thing I think we can count on is, the Bears won’t have a zillion team captains like last year under the Eberflus regime. Grady Jarrett clearly looks and sounds like a leader. Who else will emerge?
